I offer an inexpensive alternative to rubberized undercoating. The rust preventatives I use remain soft, flexible, heal themselves and continue to coat long after other water-soluble or solvent-based products have evaporated or worn off. Another great feature of soft undercoating is that its translucent film is easy to see through and diagnose problems before they happen, unlike rubberized undercoating which hides problems and allows rust to grow and spread under its surface! The products I use last for up to a year, are easy to remove if needed and are inexpensive and easy to reapply.
